On September 11, 2008, at 8:00 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Olive Avenue and Holcomb Street in regards to a reported injury traffic collision.
Upon arrival officers found a 14 year old injured female. The collision investigation revealed that the female was crossing Olive Avenue in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle being driven eastbound on Olive Avenue.
The impact knocked the female to the ground, causing moderate injuries. She was transported by ambulance to Sierra View District Hospital.
The driver of the eastbound auto was identified as Carolyn Patterson, age 69 out of Lindsay, California.
The identity of the juvenile is not being released at this time.
