(Feb 17 2008) - Gee ... What does that "G" stand for ? :
Post Opinion : Post Editor -
Freemason Logo For years many have wondered what the "G" stands for in the middle of the "Square and Compass". Is it a code ? Is it part of the ritual ? Does it have two meaning ? Or is it designed to throw off the profane ? Now ... your getting close.

As a rule in freemasonry, there are duel meanings to their symbols - one for the mason {that's hidden} and one for those they discriminate against. As well, they need those on the outside to be kept in the dark as to it's duel meaning.

At first glance you are "lead-to-believe" that the "G" stangs for God. And so ... you assume that this is a respectful organization that puts God in the middle of it's beliefs and practices -- that's what they want you to believe. Even a few "Blue-Lodge" Masons will intimate this, but when you press in for details or where it actually says that in one of their "Official" publications, they quickly clam up.

Keep in mind that this "God-Father" of "Secret-Societies" has a plan. And part of that plan is to keep you, "the profane" in the dark regarding their clandestine {occult} beliefs, practices and operations.

James Shaw & Tom McKenney, co-authors of "The Deadly Deception" write ...
b. The Letter "G" -- The Blue Lodge Mason is taught that the "G" in the Masonic symbol represents God. Later on, he is told that it also represents "deity." Later still, he is told that it represents "geometry." In reality, this letter represents the "generative principle," the Sun-god and, thus, the worshipped phallus, the male "generative principle…" In its position (along with the Square and Compass) on the east wall over the chair (throne) of the Worshipful Master, it is the representation of the Sun, thus of the Sun-god, Osiris. Its earthly meaning, then, is of the sacred phallus; its cosmic meaning is of the Sun, worshipped since antiquity by pagans while facing the East.

c. The "G" and the "YOD" -- The English letter "G" in Masonic symbolism is inseparable from, and identical with, the Hebrew letter "YOD." This "YOD" is the symbol on the Scottish Rite ring. "YOD" represents deity in general (its cosmic meaning), and the worshipped phallus in particular (its earthly meaning). Albert Pike wrote that the "G" displayed in English speaking lodges is merely a corruption of the "YOD" (with which it should be replaced), and that "the mysterious YOD of the Kabala" is the "image of the Kabalistic Phallus." (3) The "Kabalah" he refers to here is a medieval book of the occult, a highly mystical and magical interpretation of the Bible, (4) and important sourcebook for sorcerers and magicians. (5)

Back to the "G". Not unlike the hundreds of remaining symbols that freemansonry claims, the "G" is the first to catch your eye. And it's the first to lead you astray ! If you were to say to a mason, " That 'G' could mean just about anything." He'd incline to agree with you. Take it a step further and ask him, "What does the lodge says it means?" ... and see what he says. Most likely he will murmur what you said. And if he goes to church and says he's a christian -- he might say "or intimate" it stands for God. And when he does, ask what masonic publication that's conclusion is found in. If he's a mason who has a library, he may have a later chritianized version of what was "taught". If he has any of the earlier teachings and he's a so-called christian, he'll ignor those "occult publications" and say they don't exit or deny they make reference to his way of believing. He's just self-interpreted the "G" -- like you and I -- and like he was brain-washed to do.

The Rosslyn Chaple Knights Templars state this of the "G" ...
The Square, Compasses and Letter 'G'. Here we encounter the first problem. No individual can speak for Freemasonry, an individual may only express a personal view which may, or may not, be shared by other Freemasons. In the same way 'Freemasonry' does not impose meanings of its' symbols although many have obtained a general acceptance as to what they represent. In Scotland, however, Masonic symbolism is often different from that which pertains furth of the kingdom and the meaning of them several. To return to the Square, Compasses and Letter 'G'. In many countries the Letter 'G' is taken to mean God, the Supreme Being, and whilst it is an interpretation held by many Freemasons it is not a universal view. There are some faiths which have an aversion to depicting the Supreme Being in any physical form whatsoever. For such individuals the Letter 'G' simply cannot stand for the God of their faith.

If you have gotten the point yet, it's because you have eyes to see but cannot see and ears to hear and cannot hear. Most every symbol in freemasonry has at least a duel meaning and at times -- mulitple meanings. Why ? To hide the real "occult" or "hidden" meaning of their symbols. As a mason you are instructed to be tolerant of other beliefs ... because the "Mystic-Tie" is that we're are connected to the Big "G" ... you remember, the God we don't really talk about.

Are you confused yet ??? That's the whole idea !!! And since our GOD isn't the author of confusion -- and we know who is -- it stands to reason that those in the lodge only have a tolerance for satan's light and not the light of JESUS CHRIST !

As well, this "G" that the masons put in the center of some lodges, supposedly acts as a conduit of power, generating power from someplace in the cosmos' -- more than likely from the "Power-Rangers" [Joke]. But, that little "G"eometic ritual and craft is found more with new age ideology, parapsychology, occult groupings, neo-pagan practices and ... satanism -- more than anything in Christianity. These occult groupings believe in geometric places and parallel points of power. And they also believe they can tap into to this "hidden power" if they follow the instructions and their occult masters ... or worshipful master.

W.L. Wilmshurst writes concerning the occult power in the initiation ...
This historical fact and this occult principle are now reproduced in Masonry. Every Lodge, every place of Initiation, is in theory-though not nowadays in practice-held at a centre or physical focus point selected as being favourable both to the initiation of those who enter it and to the spiritual advancement of the uninitiated popular world resident in its vicinity. "A city set on a hill cannot be hid." , A Temple or Lodge of Brethren intelligently performing its work is not only engaged in a work of spiritual building as regards its own members; it is, though perhaps unconsciously, at the same time, generating and throwing off vibrations of spiritual energy to all around it ; its occult influence extends, and its radiations are of efficacy, to a greater range than one dreams of.

The further you read about freemasonry the more you will discover that they've become an organization filled with misinformation, for those who are doing their degree work and disinformation for the profane, those they discriminate against ... you and I.

As far as I'm concerned, the "G" in freemasonry stands for ... Gang. They are "jumped-in" very much like a regular street gang member and they're threatened with their life if they tell others the masonic secrets of the lodge or what they're really all about. Read what happened to Captain William Joe Morgan. {22 pages}

Sociologically speaking, groups have formed for many reasons and for many noble causes. However, there are those that form and their cause is not noble - let alone forth-right - and cannot endure the "Light of Truth". That's how they end up in trouble -- freemasonry, my friends ... is no different.
