THE RIGHT WORD - with Brother Scott
† 1 Chronicles 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Listen :

† 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out (escape, get out of, go away from) from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

I don’t know how it is in other U.S. states but in California (at least in the past) for a married man and woman to be granted the dissolution of their marriage (a divorce) in most instances it must officially be declared before the court that they have “irreconcilable differences”.
Irreconcilable Differences: Significant conflicts or incompatibilities between spouses that cannot be resolved and make it impossible to stay together. There are fundamental disagreements that make marital reconciliation impossible, leading to the end of a marriage. This legal standard of a no-fault divorce functions separately from decisions on assets or custody.

According to this definition, being granted dissolution of the marriage is not the same or does not necessarily include the issues of which party gets the house or this or that car or certain prized possessions, any savings or even all or part of any existing retirement money.
It is also to some degree separate from the issue of which party is granted custody of any children of that marriage (or even the dog); such issues most often than not result in bitter arguments and legal fights between the man and woman.
These are generally issues that have been negotiated and decided at some point yet because one person or the other changes their minds can result in sometimes years of court battles—such are examples of when their irreconcilable differences really become obvious through greed, stubbornness, unwillingness to be reasonable, and of course, hatred and unforgiveness, and even vengeance.
Let me now jump now to the point: There are clearly, unmistakably, and no questions about it at-all that there are irreconcilable differences between this world’s system under the power of the devil and the kingdom of God.
There exist “significant conflicts and incompatibilities” between all of mankind and the holy and eternal God since the sin of Adam and Eve—conflicts and incompatibilities that cannot be resolved through good works.
There are “fundamental disagreements” that make our reconciliation with God impossible without some fantastic solution that is acceptable to the holy God that created us. That reconciliation became available through Jesus Christ only—but it is a solution for a man or a woman that does not allow for half-hearted commitments or the allowing of compromises with the things of the world, things that born-again ones from above need to understand that Heaven condemns.
Although we continue to live in this world controlled by the devil we are not of it any longer and must come out of and stand back from its influence and sin.

† John 17:14 I have given them [us] thy [God’s] word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent (Gr. apostello: to send out on a mission) them into the world.

† 1 Corinthians 5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world [Translation: We live among them but not to do what they do nor the things we used to do.].

When a married couple divorce they do not continue to live together, share the bed of intimacy, take vacations or do nice things anymore with the other; they go their separate ways except for the times when it is appropriate or necessary to interact about children or other family member issues.
In the case of believers among unbelievers, we will go to school among them or work jobs among them but not socialize (per se) with them; we are the Church, the called-out ones, and among its members and by its meetings are where we are to have the enjoyments of friendships and fellowship.

The Bible declares and Christians today must recognize and adjust their lives accordingly to at least these three facts:

Fact -1- Lucifer ha Satan has significant (albeit limited) authority and a very strong influence over the earth, its peoples, and all its human systems (ex. Gen. 6, Job 1, 2, Matt 4).

Those human systems include every level of governance across the earth from councils and committees, to mayors, governors and presidents and prime ministers, all militaries, medical services and pharmaceutical companies, all companies and corporations and commerce, Hollywood, most if not all of today’s game systems, direct influence and hidden headship over all false religions and secret organizations (Freemasonry, many fraternities, etc.), and the devil even has serious influence over the general operation, leadership and doctrines of Christian organizations.

You may not see it but the spiritual enemy has infiltrated the operations of the church, many of its headships and boards, teachings and practices, and has hijacked the holy nature of the church and its people almost completely; by God’s grace there is a remnant that remains true to God and His Word.

The devil, by his evil angels and the demon spirits that serve them is in the driver’s seat of this planet until the end of the Great Tribulation and return of Jesus Christ to reign on the earth.

This is fact one that constitutes irreconcilable differences between you and I as believers and the world we live in. Everything of the world’s systems is under the control of the evil one. Listen to these two examples:

( )
† Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered (yielded, surrendered) unto me [by Adam and Eve’s sin]; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

† Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation (behavior, lifestyle) in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

† 1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

The Bible declares and Christians today must recognize and adjust their lives accordingly to at least these three facts:

Fact -2- Although we still live here among the sinfulness of men and the influence of the devil until we die or are caught into the Presence of our God, we are commanded to separate ourselves from our love of this present world and its things.

We are to withdraw from any of its fallen systems that we can even to the isolation of our lives from unclean or vane pleasures and men and organizations and the other thoughts and ways of the lost; we are to come out of anything that can spiritually soil our new life in Christ and His righteousness upon us.

( )
† 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of [for] the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

† James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?

† 1 Corinthians 5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat...

† 2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you...

† Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out (escape, come out of) of her, my people, that ye be not partakers (share in, participate with) of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

The Bible declares and Christians today must recognize and adjust their lives accordingly to at least these three facts:

Fact -3- This present earth and all that has been done to it, all that has been physically built, every system and the corruption of it by man and the evil angelic host and demon spirits is to be destroyed by fire. If it has all been condemned by God, how then should we look at it and how should we then live in this present world knowing these things?
( )
† 2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. . . 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [In light of the Holy Scriptures we have looked at in today’s discussion:] 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation (behavior, lifestyle) and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

† Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away [in shame]; and there was found no place for them. . . 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

These Holy Scriptures and others clearly show us that between God and the Devil, between God and fallen man, in God’s view of this present world there are irreconcilable differences that require a nasty divorce—one that ends in death.
Those that repent of their sins and ask for forgiveness and the cleansing of them by the shed blood of Jesus are born again from death unto life. We are now aliens and strangers on the earth that must see the differences, see that we cannot participate with the nature and ways of our former selves or the seductive things of this present world.
We must pull away from those things while resisting the temptations and shady opportunities to commit spiritual adultery against the Bridegroom we are engaged to, He Who is to be our spiritual spouse, or—those that do not face an uncertain eternal dwelling place.
Here is the Judge’s decree from Heaven’s divorce court: Your relationship with the world as it has been is hereby dissolved by your new birth. Let me read a retooling of something Paul wrote to us at † Roman 7:1-6 in terms that may be helpful:

Paul wrote at Roman 7:1-6 in terms that may be helpful:

[From † Romans 7:1-6] Know ye not, Christian, (for I speak to them that understand how things work) how that the devil and this present world exercise sinful influence over you as long as you are alive to the world?

As an example, a woman married to a husband is bound by the moral law to her husband so long as he lives; but if the husband dies, she is loosed from the moral law binding her to that husband.

That means then if her husband is alive and she marries another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is not an adulteress, though she marries another man after her husband’s death.

The husband you were married to was the world and its sinful ways. At your new birth, because you have died with Christ you have been adjudged to be divorced from the world—it has been crucified unto you and you to it.

Understand this, Christian, in Christ you are become dead to the world and to now live as dead to its bondage's as a member of the body of Christ; and are betrothed to be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, and that we should lead fruitful lives unto God.

For when we were in the flesh and chained to the world’s ways, the motions of sins, which were revealed as sins by the laws of God, did control us to deliver us unto an eternal death.

But now we are delivered from the world, its ways and people, which are being held under the sentence to be forever separated from God, which was our destiny as sinners; we must therefore live instead in the newness of our life in Christ, and not in the oldness of the ways of sin and lust .

Because of irreconcilable differences between God and the world, we cannot go back and forth or compromise

( )
† Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

† John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

𝕎hat are you to do with today’s discussion?
You are asked by God to “come to the light” and carefully look for and identify where you are spending intimate time with your dead spouse, the world and its ways, and stop those encounters—they are visits to the graveyard.

You are espoused to the living Jesus; you have the hope of even being part of His Bride one day if you will be devoted to Him and shun all carnal entanglements with your former life in this world.

But understand this, a great many believers will not stop such things and while hopefully they may slip into Heaven’s realm at their death, they will not be part of the Bride of Christ because of their spiritual adulteries.

What are the things in your life that betray the purity of a virgin bride in view of Heaven’s Bridegroom?
