This is the conclusion of this series I have called Our Fifth—Dimensional Keys that might be more easily understood by what I have to say in these next few minutes; it is an understanding that can give you more clarity to what I have been talking about. († John 3:1 )
Listen :
The goal of these 4 segments is to alert believers to the fact that faith and prayer
by faith are
much more than we typically esteem them to be.
Let’s start here: Having been born-again from Heaven we have dual citizenship—as Christians, in a fashion, you and I carry two passports, which give us privileges and rights in two lands. You are a citizen of this country but you carry the passport of an even greater country, the kingdom of Heaven, which is God’s immeasurable realm in its many dimensions and eternal existence. The countries of your and my physical births are inferior in every way to the country of our spiritual birth. Our natural birth country, indeed the entire planet, is limited in the extent of its existence to only 4 of a dozen or more areas of experience found in our other home country now called Heaven. Our four operating parameters are time, and length, width, and height (also thought of as the x, y, and z axes ).
The other reality that we are part of
The other reality that we are part of and one day will be admitted into forever has many more aspects of reality that we cannot see, hear, feel or enjoy while we are limited to this human existence, unless God allows us a temporary visit there one way or another.
Near-death testimonies cause us to wonder about these things and even the Apostles Paul and John experienced the super natural regarding their visits to the kingdom of Heaven. Such testimony of the utterly fantastic things in God’s eternal realm teases our imagination and excites us about our eternal future.
( † † † )
† 2 Corinthians 12:1 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth; ) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth; ) 4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable (inexpressible ) words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. . . 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations (apokalypsis: take of the cover, disclosure ), there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
Some examples of that reality that can give you an idea of the extent of what exists in what we tend to think of as the spiritual realm (or “other dimensions”), which is the kingdom of God are these: Non-verbal communicating, trees and flowers singing, seeing colors that do not exist in our universe, being able to see details at extremely close range yet from a distance, knowing things we have not learned, being aware of and sharing in emotional states (i.e. being bathed in love, holiness, joy, peace ), being able to move from one place to another simply by thought and desire.
Now as to ourselves having been born into that kingdom, we have been given certain spiritual keys by virtue of our Savior that are given power from outside our natural existence. As you heard over these last several weeks, these several are (but not limited to ) faith, prayer, using the authority of the Name of Jesus, declaring the shed blood of Jesus, quoting the Holy Bible, and spiritual gifts, especially a personal prayer language the KJV Bible calls “tongues”.
A statement I made last week that is noteworthy is this: “Faith, its work through prayer, and the other keys I mentioned are supernatural in their reality and use; they are Heaven’s introduction to us of our coexistence with an earthly life and one that is to operate in the supernatural realm by supernatural means.”
There are so many fantastic things awaiting us in God’s realm.
( † † † )
† 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But let us come back to the primary keys of our spiritual existence: Faith and prayer. In recent discussions about loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, I shared several things that were helpful in knowing if you loved God that much—at least yet .
Number one on that list was this: You might know that you love God so very much because He is never far from your thoughts throughout your every day. In like manner, let’s look at some things about having true faith and prayer by faith that might help the sincere follower of Jesus determine if what things we think are legitimate faith and its effective prayer truly are .
( † † † )
† 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight ... 13:5 Examine (test, scrutinize ) yourselves, whether ye be in the faith ([are you ] fully persuaded, constant in profession, relying completely on Christ ); prove (by “testing” approve of ) your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
† Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering. . . 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
What things can help us know
What things can help us know if we are walking in true and legitimate faith? A genuine faith in God has these and other identifying features:
You believe (you know that you know ) that God is and that Jesus Christ is —come in the flesh, no matter the reversals in life or what others say or the doubts cast into your mind the demonic realm
You profess the belief of your heart through confessing Jesus with your mouth in prayer, to yourself and to others; your faith is not a secret
You have no doubt that the Bible is God’s Word and believe all that it says—and you read it regularly as a faith strengthening exercise
You allow faith’s conviction to have its way when you have doubts, when you have sinned or disobey, and so you deal with your error in soon repentance
Heartfelt confession and repentance are part of your discipleship practices
You submit to the exercising of your faith by God and the harder tests requiring stronger faith—you remain open to all God’s appointments
Real faith doesn’t put God on a schedule but is patient in hope
These things are not natural to the sinful and broken man but are attributes of the new creature we have been born again as . The new creature, the new man or woman that you now are is that part of you that has been born again from above by faith given as the extraordinary gift of God to be regenerated from above.
( † † † )
† Romans 2:4 …despisest thou at the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
† Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Faith is more than what you say you believe and true faith is more than the earthly meaning of the words that you speak. Faith is supernatural power that connects your life to Heaven and its Sovereign, the Almighty and eternal God.
Your faith is not the light switch that releases power through the behind-the-wall wiring to the light bulb at the other end of the room; in a fashion, faith is the electricity that is neither seen nor is natural to you or me but is the power involved that causes things to happen when we release it either through prayer or our direct speaking to the sicknesses, demons, or circumstances we encounter.
If we will see faith in this way, we will think of it in more than an otherwise (otherwise perhaps ) [a ] ho-hum manner. All too often we talk faith but we think “it’s not possible or it’ll never happen”.
( † † † )
† Luke 1:37 [The angel said to Zachariah :] For with God nothing shall be impossible. . . 18:26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
† Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them. . . verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Faith is to become the spiritual foundation you walk on every day. It is silently powerful in your thoughts, it leaks out in the words you speak or refrain from speaking, it helps a lot in the actions you take and decisions you make, and it is the amperage that makes-prayer-matter . Now many people pray to God but how can we know if our prayers are being heard by God?
Effective prayers to God must be from a position of active faith and :
1. There is no unconfessed sin in your heart
2. Prayers are according to His will or subject to His will
3. You believe that nothing is impossible for God
4. The force of your prayers has to do with consistency, urgency, and the push
5. It can be at the Holy Spirit’s urging on some subject or about someone
6. Those baptized in the Spirit should allow time for one’s prayer languages
7. Sometimes our praying needs to be with anointing oil and “hands laid on”
I just used the words “amperage” (amps of electric, the higher the number of amps moving through the wiring equals more force ) and “push” (the force you use to move something ). Electrical power is an interesting subject. Our home’s lights and appliances operate by 110+ volts, which is the basic value in one unit of “push”-power for say, a 100-watt light bulb. But many of our bigger appliances need a lot more than just one unit of 110-volts, which is called an amp.
Air conditioners and refrigerators and vacuum cleaners and your circular saws (men ) need 110-volts but with a lot more oomph behind then—they need more “push” (more amps of electric power ) to run their large energy-needing components. It is still 110-volts but on steroids—the force of the flow of electricity is much stronger.
As to faith and prayer as supernatural keys, we must use these two things to participate in making things to happen as a request of Heaven, if not a sure thing based on what God’s will.
Think of your faith as the electrical “power” that flows through the unseen but necessary wiring that is prayer. Prayer begins when the light switch is turned on, which is when you open your mouth and begin to speak to Heaven. In different circumstances, supernatural things happen when you use your mouth to speak words against sickness, or nature or the demonic, and perhaps even death.
If faith is not real, no power is there to release. If the prayer -switch is not used or the words not spoken against the negative things of this realm—then no power is released. For some prayer issues, we need to exert more amps of prayer by faith--think of this as more intense or prolonged praying and even with the highest "push" of prayer being with fasting.
If believing prayer is not made or the authorized words against things of this world remain unspoken, then one’s faith cannot push forward through the Name of Jesus, the Light of the world, for needs to be provided for or the miraculous to take place.
And, by the way, if we don’t not faint in our faith, it continues its work after the prayer has been made or the words of Christian authority are declared or spoken in favor of needs being met or health arising or deliverance setting the captives free. Our power of belief and trust in God stays on the job until the issues are handled, as in the case where we are praying or speaking words according to the very will of God.
( † † † )
† Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end , that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? [This statement by Jesus should be a warning to His followers in these last days. Faith is critical ! ]
We’ve had nearly 4 hours of discussion on how critical and how super natural faith and prayer are. Not everything has been said but enough has to move all of us onto a higher level of praying and using our heavenly authority in this present time.
Words are important and faith-filled words are structured to align with God’s kingdom and the realms that exist around us.
Your relationship with God began with faith
Your relationship with God began with faith and from there it is to help us to live an overcoming life against the things of this present life—if you will and if I will pursue it daily.
