| “Our Fifth-Dimensional Keys”

In the 1960s and in the 70s there was a popular music group called The Fifth Dimension who were partly credited with moving the favorite music preferences of that era into the next generation of pop-music.

They came to be known as one of the main groups to introduce what is now looked upon as “sunshine pop, pop soul, and psychedelic soul” (kind of “woo-woo” out-there stuff). Some music listeners loved them while others derided their music.
Now just as that singing group made the way for changes to arise in the music industry (changes that were not good), by the coming of the Son of God upon the earth 2000 years ago, changes became available for and through the true people of God and followers of Jesus Christ that are the essence of everything that is good. Jesus schooled us a little here-and-there on some important aspects of the kingdom of heaven and of God.

† Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven [and all that it offers] is at hand (made near, come near [within hand’s grasp]). 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

We live in a 3-dimensional realm plus a 4th, which is time. Today I am going to begin discussing what you should view as our several fifth-dimensional keys as born-again ones and members of the kingdom of God, which is a reality already ours, an important understanding, if you can grasp it.
In my brief external research on the subject of the term “dimension(s)” I was surprised to find that the term “fifth-dimension” has already been identified to also include spiritual matters—although not at the level we will touch on in these discussions. Let me share with you some basic definitions:

Dimension: Extent or magnitude; scope. A measuring in one direction; an aspect of something. An element of something (i.e. our citizenship of Heaven and relationship with the eternal and Almighty God). Its use has not been seriously associated with the spiritual realm in modern times but has been related to mathematics, science, art, music, and language. Synonyms: Extent, measure, aspect, element, feature, magnitude, parameter.
Three-dimensional: Refers to objects or spaces that have three dimensions: length, width, and height. 2-Dimensional is for flat surfaces and 3-D is for solids. This means the object occupies physical space and can be perceived as having distance, making the object appear more lifelike compared to two-dimensional objects. In addition to these 3-dimensions is a fourth-dimension called “time”, which four dimensions are known as “space-time”.
Idioms: When considering 3-D, 4-D, and beyond, terms like these are used: “Think outside the box, look at the bigger picture, broaden your horizons, add another layer, see things in a new light, expand the scope, take it to a higher level.”

Why I'm Bringing These Things Up
Now to bring into focus why I'm bringing these things up, I ask you these rhetorical questions

1. Can you right now see the Lord Jesus Christ in physical form on His throne?
2. Can you see the Holy Spirit Who is among us here today?
3. Can you see with your eyes demons or able to normally see angels?
4. Can you see family members or friends that have passed into Heaven?
5. Can you see hell and how things are there?
6. Are you normally aware of the warfare that goes on in the supernatural realm around you?
7. Are you aware of the differences between your own thoughts and those thoughts and suggestions specifically given to your mind by spiritual entities (the Holy Spirit, God’s angels, fallen angels or demons)?
8. Are you able to see the effects of your faith and prayers in the spiritual realm?

Except for a rare few that have been given temporary and special sight , the answers to all these questions for everyone is “No!”; it is “No” because we are created to live in a 4-dimensional realm that includes time (minutes, hours, days, months, years, etc.). The “yes” abilities to the questions I just asked about beings and their actions exist outside the range of our 4-planes of existence in a reality that is more real than what we experience in this present life. Yet, we are affected by them and we can affect the unseen spiritual realm when we do so by Heaven’s rules.
I have hope that you can grasp what I am sharing in these messages because it can help you in your spiritual walk and effectiveness, and so I inform you of this: We may not be able to see the living beings who are spirit, or see into the realm in which they inhabit, but there is interaction between them with us and by us with them; interactions which literally cross into what we should think of as the several more but unknown dimensions of the supernatural realm (from 11 to 20 dimensions according to Jewish sages, present day Christian theologians, and even non-believing scientists).
You and I can benefit by a very basic grasp of such realities by what you and I can understand as fifth-dimension keys and abilities given to us by God. Briefly stated: We live in a very basic four-dimensional realm—but are acted upon by and can ourselves act upon some of the other supernatural aspects of what is created by God both visible to us and invisible to us; although that power given to us does not affect all aspects of the realms we are not directly part of yet.
Here is a significant part of needed understanding: It takes supernatural gifts, things that are outside our four dimensions of length, width, height and time, [it takes supernatural gifts] and some understanding of the mysteries of God shown to us in order to do the kinds of things that Jesus said we can do and what the apostles also wrote about that affirms what we can do as followers of Jesus Christ.
The New Testament especially hints at these things and reveals their reality to those of us that will study the Bible and seek the deeper levels of what we can know. Let me give you two examples from what Jesus said and insights that Paul was apparently given by God; the first example involves the “mysteries” of the kingdom:

† Matthew 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? 11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries (mysterion/moos-tay’-ree-on: secrets, imposed silence) of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given [the words “mysteries” or “mystery” is used 26 times by Jesus or Paul in the KJV].
† Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery (mysterion/moos-tay’-ree-on), which was kept secret [not revealed, kept silent about] since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest. . . 27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Mystery: [Today’s definition:] Something that is not understood or cannot be explained often involving a secret. A dramatic representation of a Scriptural subject, often some event in the life of Christ [or God’s plan of salvation].

I said I would give you 2 examples of what we should come to know and operate by.
The second example of insights given to us in the Word is about what I speak of involving our access to and use of supernatural power given to/through us by God that is not limited to the space-time restrictions of our 4-dimensions.
That “mystery” is hinted at by the Holy Spirit’s use in the Bible of the word “depth” in unusual places such as these three:

† Isaiah 7:10 …the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying, 11 Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth (be deep, profound [“make it an impossibility”]), or in the height above (lofty [such as from Heaven above]). 12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD. 13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
† Ephesians 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees [I pray] unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 [I pray] That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth (profundity, mystery), and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Profundity: [From our modern definition] A thing that is profound and deep, often in an intellectual sense, indicating great knowledge or understanding of complex ideas. Serious matters; a profound or abstruse thing. (Abstruse: Concealed or hidden out of the way. Difficult to understand. An understanding requiring significant mental effort to grasp.)

† Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind (put in bondage [arrest by spiritual means]) on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose (to loosen, break up, dissolve, melt [release or set free]) on earth shall be loosed in heaven (the abode of God, sky above).
† Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. [Spiritual entities that inhabit the “heavens/sky” above us and move in the atmosphere.]

In this two or three week discussion we will talk about the several supernatural “keys of the kingdom of heaven” but I will conclude today by informing you of the top two. In-my-opinion, the two greater inter-dimensional keys that open wide the doors to affect our realm as well as some aspects of the invisible realm of God and other supernatural beings are → faith and → prayer!
Faith is given to us as the master key to access God’s plan to save us, His promises to us, and aspects of the supernatural realm. And prayer is the tool we must use to cause or be a participant in things happening, or to stop them from happening.
God-given faith and our prayers by faith are the means we have been given to free Heaven to participate with us as we act on our behalf and on other’s, or to prevent or at least restrict the enemies of ours and others’ lives from hurting us.
God-given faith and our prayers before God are not subject to the laws of physics or the rules of living in this temporary earthly existence; faith and praying in faith are the means for true believers to step outside of the physical rules of life on earth-and-time and access the provisions of the supernatural life in Christ; this is in stark contrast to the limited and spiritually powerless kinds of lives so many Christians are living today.

We must adjust our thinking and practice involving faith and prayer ...

We must adjust our thinking and practice involving faith and prayer to know that these two things we will yet discuss in more detail (and others we will discuss) are able to pierce the veil of our limitations and “barriers” (†Rom. 8:39’s “height”) of a mere human man and woman.
Our barriers are either from our own ignorance and the lack of spiritual know-how that we are provided and or the barriers of blindness and unbelief cast into our minds by the enemies of our souls.
Faith and prayer are belief and obedience to the Word of God, which brings help and blessings if we will learn of and use the keys of the kingdom of heaven—from which the gates of hell cannot prevail against—but ignorance, unbelief and disobedience blocks what we with God can do.
