Shawn Cable : Porterville City Council Candidate

I have lived in Porterville for 22 years. I am a Correctional Sergeant with the California Department of Corrections. I am 44 years old.

I have volunteered with first time youth offenders in the Porterville area for over 12 years, putting young lives back on track. I am engaged to Tonia Kitts and have a daughter Jozlyn Cable.

My strong work ethics allowed me to become a leader in my profession, and I have no doubt that those ethics will carry over to my elected duties as City Councilman.

I feel Porterville needs someone of my caliber, and passion to lead and guide them. My knowledgeable expertise will aid in ensuring that all Porterville residents prosper, through job creation and revenue expanding opportunities.

I pledge to preserve the past while expanding on the future, (and) that's the kind of of leadership our community needs to advance while preserving its legacy.

All to often the efforts to evoke change is to throw everything out and start anew. My innate understanding of the delicate balance between progress and past will ensure that the work of former Porterville leaders remains while the community advances.

Sincerely,
Shawn Cable
Candidate, Porterville City Council
