NOVEMBER REFLECTION
~ Thanksgiving, Humility, and the Fire Still Burning ~

There’s something sacred about November. The chill in the air, the rustle of leaves, the stillness before winter sets in—it’s like the soul of a nation pauses to remember. Not just turkey and parades. Not just football or retail stampedes. But something deeper. Something ancient.

Thanksgiving isn’t just a holiday. It’s a declaration !!!

Thanksgiving isn’t just a holiday. It’s a declaration. A quiet one, yes—but a declaration nonetheless. That we are not gods. That we are not entitled to everything we have. That this nation was born not by accident or conquest alone, but by providence—by divine mercy. And at the heart of it all? A man who could’ve been king—but chose to kneel instead.

Washington Not the myth, Marble statue, but The Man
Not the myth, not the marble statue, but the man—who trembled at the weight of the task before him. A man who cried out to God when the ink dried on the Constitution and again when he took the first oath of office. And yet he walked away. Twice. No crown, no throne, no dynasty.

He could’ve had it all. But instead, he chose gratitude. He chose surrender. And in that surrender, he built a foundation strong enough for free men and women to walk upon.

That’s what Thanksgiving was about. Not gluttony. Gratitude

That’s why, in 1789, George Washington wrote his Thanksgiving Proclamation , calling for a day of prayer and public thanksgiving to “acknowledge with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God.” Not some performative nod to the heavens, but a real, living gratitude —the kind that makes you see your neighbor as kin and your country as a sacred trust.

𝔹ut we’ve wandered. 𝕆h, how we’ve wandered.
We swapped reverence for revisionism. We turned God into a punchline and humility into weakness. We let grievance replace gratitude, division replace devotion. We forgot that every right we now treat like a chew toy was paid for by men who didn’t demand a safe space, but offered their lives for something bigger.

And we forgot what freedom really costs. Not just bullets and bravery—but virtue . Restraint . Faith . Washington knew it. That’s why he warned us in his Farewell Address that morality and religion are the “indispensable supports” of political prosperity. Not optional. Not ornamental. Indispensable.

𝔹𝕦𝕥 ... Here We Are !!!
But here we are, unraveling what he and so many others wove together with blood, tears, and prayer. We are watching, almost in slow motion, as a people once known for self-governance beg to be managed like livestock.
[𝔸] As families turn against each other.

[𝔹] As leaders turn into rulers.

[] We didn’t get here overnight.

[𝔻] And we won’t get out with slogans.

[𝔼] But we can begin again.

[𝔽] Just like Washington did.

[𝔾] Just like the Pilgrims did.

[] Just like every soul who looked at chaos and chose covenant instead.

We can remember who we are. Not in some cheesy patriotic sense. But in a spiritual, covenantal, deeply human way. A people made in the image of God. Fallible, yes. But also free. Called to steward—not squander—what we’ve been given.
This Thanksgiving, don’t just pass the potatoes. Pass the torch.
Light the fire again. In your home. In your city. In your own heart. Not with rage, but with resolve. Not to go backward, but to re-root —in the soil that first gave birth to this miracle of a nation. George Washington wasn’t perfect. Neither were the Founders. But they knew they weren’t.
And that’s what made them dangerous to tyrants.

 They were humble.

They were grateful. And they trusted God.

That’s what we need now. Not louder mobs or trendier saviors. But men and women who walk softly, speak truth, and kneel before no king but Christ.

This isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about revival. So go ahead—gather with your family. Feast. Laugh. But when you bow your head in prayer, mean it. When you look at your children, remember.

When you hear the national anthem or see a flag waving in the cold November wind—don’t scoff.

𝕊tand Up & 𝕊traighten Your 𝕊pine
And give thanks that we were ever given this land at all.
Then walk outside, breathe the cold air—and decide.
Will you live like a subject? Or like a citizen?
Because Thanksgiving was never just about what we had.
It was about who we were willing to be.
And if we can find that spirit again...
if we can recover what was almost lost...
Then maybe—just maybe—this country isn’t done yet.
And neither are we.
What you are not changing, you are choosing.
