On January 28, 2009 at approximately 7:15 p.m. officers from the Porterville Police Department responded to the Family Market at 391 W. Belleview on a report of an armed robbery.
Investigation revealed that the above described suspect entered the business while brandishing a dark colored revolver.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect then fled the store on foot, heading southbound on Palm.
It is believed that this incident may be related to an armed robbery which took place a short time earlier at the Ranch View Market at 1340 W. North Grand Avenue which is being investigated by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
The case is currently under investigation by the Porterville Police Department’s General Investigations Unit.
