Fresh Change Of Oil
Juan for the Post - Jan 31 2008
by Juan Alvarado : j.alvarado@portervillepost.com

Greeting Porterville and surrounding communities.

What a start to 2008. Presidential primaries, state budget reform,Target will close in February (Don't worry it opens again in the fall), Lowes will open mid-February, Holiday Inn Express is now open, and not too mention a new newspaper.

Yes my friends, a new news paper.

The Porterville Post is in its inaugural year. Like politics where reform is a common word used for change. The Porterville Post will be exactly that, a reform. Not that we don't need other sources of media to receive our news. But we the people of Porterville need a voice for our conservative values. This is what the Porterville Post will be. A voice for the conservative individual.

Like many of our recently made new year resolutions, change is not easy. Yet, it is inevitable. People have modified traditions and our heritage including the very thought of God. In order to make things "better" and evenly for society. Yet we continue to struggle in many of these areas that have been modified by liberally minded individuals. I personally will not attempt change your way of thinking, but rather I will remind you of who we were and what values we had and should continue to keep today. Thus, the Post will be a fresh change of oil to the machine that runs Porterville.

We've heard the phrase "something-gotta-give". Well my friends something gave. Our values, heritage and traditions have been scarred by the liberal media. Cuasing, some locals to do something about it. This change will not be easy nor is it inevitable.

Change many times is good.

Our hands are not tied at The Porterville Post. This gives me the opportunity to write about our conservative values, ect. I will communicate to all walks of life both young and old, parents, teens, our children, our leaders. I will write about real issues affecting us in Porterville. So hang on for the ride and I hope you enjoy The Porterville Post.
